The Campaign: At Upstart Network, Inc. (“Upstart,” “UNI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), NMLS No. 936133, 2950 S. Delaware Street Suite 400, San Mateo, CA 94403, we believe the rates available through our lending marketplace are competitive. We encourage you to shop around and compare offers. If you receive a lower comparable personal loan offer elsewhere, we will send you a $100 Amazon Digital Gift Card. This Great Rates Promise Campaign (the ‘Campaign’) is solely sponsored by Upstart Network, Inc. Upstart is a lending marketplace and is not a lender. Loans are made by regulated financial institutions through the Upstart marketplace. This Campaign is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Amazon. This Campaign will end upon the earlier of (i) April 5, 2026 or (ii) Upstart’s receipt of two hundred (200) valid claim submissions. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Campaign at any time, in our sole discretion. See below for important details about the Campaign. By providing information to Upstart in connection with this Campaign, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. This Campaign is void or limited where prohibited or restricted by federal, state, or local law.
Great Rates Promise Eligibility: To be eligible for the Campaign, you must apply for a personal loan through the Upstart marketplace and receive a pre-approved offer after completing all required verification steps (including identity verification and any required account information), such that you reach the page titled “Just a Few More Steps.” You are not required to proceed beyond that page, accept the offer, or originate a loan in order to participate in the Campaign. A hard credit inquiry is not required to participate in the Campaign.
If within seven (7) calendar days of receiving your Upstart pre-approved offer you receive a Lower Comparable Offer, then we will pay you $100, subject to these Terms and Conditions. In order to be considered a valid Lower Comparable Offer, you must receive a pre-approved personal loan offer from a duly licensed lender, other than through Upstart, after completing the lender’s required verification steps (including identity verification, where applicable) with an Annual Percentage Rate (“APR”), before any discounts, promotions, or adjustments, that is lower than the APR offered through the Upstart marketplace; and, as compared to the Upstart offer, the Lower Comparable Offer must be for (i) the same loan amount, (ii) the same loan term, (iii) a comparable unsecured personal loan product, and (iv) dated within seven (7) calendar days of the Upstart pre-approved offer. The Lower Comparable Offer must be dated within seven (7) calendar days of your Upstart pre-approved offer; however, you have up to ten (10) business days to submit your evaluation request. Offers from buy now pay later companies, where the pre-approved rate is connected to the purchase of goods or services will not be considered a Lower Comparable Offer.
This Great Rates Promise program excludes discounted, introductory, temporary, or promotional rates and offers.
How to Redeem: To redeem, please email greatrates@upstart.com to submit your Lower Comparable Offer documentation or to request an evaluation. The documentation requirements for submission are set forth below. You must submit your request for an evaluation within (i) ten (10) business days after you receive your pre-approved offer through Upstart or (ii) ten (10) business days after you receive your pre-approved offer from another lender, whichever occurs last. In no event will a Lower Comparable Offer be considered or eligible for this Campaign if the Lower Comparable Offer is dated outside of the seven (7) calendar days from your Upstart pre-approved offer, or we do not receive your request for evaluation within the 10 business day window mentioned above. Once submitted, we may request additional documentation if needed, and you will have five (5) business days to provide it. Failure to meet this timeline will vacate your request and no further action will be taken with respect to this Campaign. This decision is final and in our sole discretion. A Lower Comparable Offer must include documentation clearly showing the lender name, approval date, loan amount, loan term, and Annual Percentage Rate (“APR”) before any discounts, promotions, or adjustments. The documentation must reflect the lender’s offer after completion of any required verification steps, including identity verification where applicable. You must submit your request using the same email address associated with your Upstart application so that we may verify your Upstart pre-approved offer and completion of required verification steps through our internal records. Screenshots are acceptable provided they clearly display the required information.
Once we receive your Lower Comparable Offer documentation, Upstart may, in its sole discretion, determine the validity of the Lower Comparable Offer, and Upstart’s determination will be final. If, within five (5) business days after Upstart’s request, you fail to provide satisfactory additional evidence related to your Lower Comparable Offer, you will be disqualified from the Campaign.
Persons associated or affiliated with or employed by Upstart or its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, or advertising partners, and the immediate families and/or household members of each, are not eligible.
If you accept and originate a personal loan through the Upstart marketplace, additional terms and conditions may apply to your loan. Subject to the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions, you may still be eligible to participate in the Campaign even if you proceed with a loan through the Upstart marketplace.
What to Submit: To evaluate your request, you must provide documentation of your Lower Comparable Offer and submit your request using the same email address associated with your Upstart application so that we may verify your Upstart pre-approved offer through our internal records.
Your Lower Comparable Offer documentation must clearly show:
(i) the lender name,
(ii) the approval date,
(iii) the loan amount,
(iv) the loan term, and
(v) the Annual Percentage Rate (“APR”) before any discounts, promotions, or adjustments.
The Lower Comparable Offer documentation must reflect the lender’s offer after completion of the lender’s required verification steps (including identity verification, where applicable), not an initial pre-verification rate estimate.
Screenshots are acceptable provided they clearly display the required information. Email confirmations, lender approval letters, or other written documentation may also be submitted and may be used as supplemental proof where relevant. Avoid submitting Personal Identifying Information such as social security number, account numbers, etc.
If certain information is not reasonably available in a lender’s standard offer display we may request additional documentation to validate the offer. We may accept reasonable alternative documentation where appropriate.
The Payment: Limit one $100 Amazon Digital Gift Card (the “Digital Gift Card”) per individual, regardless of the number of pre-approved offers submitted. If the validity of the Lower Comparable Offer is confirmed, the Digital Gift Card will be sent to the email address we have on file for you. If you do not receive your Digital Gift Card in a reasonable timeframe, please contact us. Accepting the $100 Digital Gift Card may have tax consequences, so please consult your tax advisor.
Fraud or Misuse of the Campaign: To the fullest extent of the law, we reserve the right to cancel your participation in this Campaign, without notice, in the event you violate these Terms and Conditions, your violation of our Website Terms of Use, or in the event of fraud, gaming, abuse, or misuse of the Campaign or any patterns suggestive thereof. For the avoidance of doubt, if we determine in our sole discretion that you are attempting or have attempted to misuse the Campaign, you will not be eligible to earn the Digital Gift Card, and we may reverse or cancel any Digital Gift Card accrued or previously sent resulting from the fraud or misuse.
Changes or Termination of the Campaign: We may change, suspend, or terminate the Campaign or your participation therein at any time without notice or limitation, and in our sole discretion. Such changes might affect your ability to earn the Digital Gift Card. We will give you notice to the extent required by law.
Limitation of Liability: Unless otherwise required by law, we will not be liable to you or anyone making a claim on your behalf, in connection with: (1) any change or termination of the Campaign; (2) any loss, damage, expense or inconvenience caused by any occurrence outside of our control; (3) any taxes that you incur as a result of receiving rewards, payment of which taxes will be your responsibility; (4) any merchandise or services you purchase, or for any direct, indirect or consequential damages related to our services. In any event, the aggregate amount of any liability that Upstart may have to you in connection with the Campaign shall be limited to $100.
Dispute Resolution: Contact Us First. If you have an issue with this Campaign, or if a dispute arises between you and us, please contact us first. Our goal is to learn about and address your concerns to your satisfaction; and if we are unable to do so, then to provide you with a neutral and cost-effective means of resolving the dispute quickly.
